k-means clustering
Follow the algorithm step by step as it groups different kinds of datasets that come with no right answer.
- 1Choose a dataset. Study the points and guess how many groups there are.
- 2Place centroids. Decide on k and put out the centre points.
- 3Assign data points. Every point goes to the nearest centroid.
- 4Move centroids. Each centroid moves to the middle of its points, then steps 3 and 4 repeat.
- 5Evaluate the choice of k. Compare how different values of k affect the result.
